How Do I Access ProcedureFlow?
You just need a computer with an internet connection! On any supported browser, go to app.procedureflow.com, and login using your work email address and the password you chose when you set up your ProcedureFlow account.
We recommend adding ProcedureFlow to your bookmarks or favorites list in your browser and saving your credentials so you don’t have to enter them every time!
Tip If you forget your password, use the “Forgot your password?” link on the app.procedureflow.com landing page to reset it.
Can I bookmark a page so that I can quickly come back to it?
Yes! ProcedureFlow lets you build a customized list of Starred flows on the left side of your screen. By clicking the star to the left of a flow’s title, you can add the flow to your Starred list (aka your favorites list) where you can quickly jump to your frequently-used flows.
Can I jump to a page that I don’t have starred?
Not a problem! In the upper right-hand corner of your screen, there is a Search all flows field. Click in this search bar and do a keyword search for the title of any flow. Select the flow from the list of search results to navigate directly to it.
Is there a quick way to get back to the “default” flow?
There are actually three ways!
Click the entry point selector in the top left (under the ProcedureFlow logo); or click Flows at the top of the screen; or click the entry point name at the beginning of the "breadcrumbs" above the flow you're viewing.
What does “Go back and continue” on an action box mean?
When you see a “Go back and continue” action box, it means that the process will continue back on the previous flow. You’ll need to click on your browser’s back button or arrow to go back to the previous flow and the yellow back glow will show you where to continue from.
Tip Depending on how the flows have been mapped, there may be situations where you have to “Go back and continue" more than once!
In the following example, we clicked into the "Start from a Customer Care Sample" flow, then when we were finished we clicked "Go back and continue" to return to the previous flow. The yellow glow highlights where we left off.
I’ve found something wrong/broken/out of date on a flow!
This can and should happen! ProcedureFlow is a living breathing document, and it should always be updating and evolving. If you find a problem, you have two options. You can let your supervisor or team lead know or, if you’re feeling confident and have Contributor or higher role, you can fix the mistake yourself! Refer to Creating and Editing Flows for the full procedure, but in a nutshell:
- Move the toggle on the top left of your screen from Live to Draft.
- Create a change request.
- Navigate to the flow you want to edit.
- Click Edit flow.
This will bring you into an editing canvas where you can edit your own version of the flows and then send for approval. An approver will review the changes you’ve suggested, and approve, deny, or request further changes. Don’t worry! Until the change is approved, you’re not changing anything in the live environment that the rest of the team is using. So, feel free to get in there and try it out!
If my changes are in the Approvals queue, can I cancel the submission or make further changes?
If you’ve submitted changes for approval but want to cancel the submission, you can open the change request and click Cancel Approval. The change request will revert to Open-Work in Progress status and you can continue working on it.
Alternatively, you can create a new change request! You can have multiple change requests in various states at the same time — you don't have to wait for previous change requests to be approved first.
How do I stay up-to-date on process changes?
One of the most valuable features of ProcedureFlow is the change notifications! Every time a change to a flow is approved and published, all users will see a notification bubble next to Change History at the top of the screen. Click Change History to see the list of updates.
Click on a change set to review, then click the Changes tab. On the left side you’ll see a list of the flows that had modifications as well as any flows that were added or deleted. Click one of the flows on the left to view a side-by-side comparison of the before and after.
