Session Activity Insight

Overview

The Session Activity report allows you to view sessions that have occurred within Procedureflow. A session represents the activity within a specific entry point.

A new session is created when a user accesses an entry point. When the user exits that entry point and accesses a different entry point, a new session is created. Opening an entry point in a new browser tab also creates a separate session.

What this report shows

You can filter sessions by entry point, date or date range, and member, then open a session to view the full timeline of navigation events that occurred during that interaction.

Sessions events include the navigation between flows within the entry point, e.g. if the user accessed a related flow from a decision path.

Notes  

• A session may continue over an extended period if a user leaves a browser tab or window open with Procedureflow running—additional activity continues to be associated with that session until the user either exits the entry point or closes the browser tab or window. Because of this, the session's Last Activity timestamp may be hours or even days later than the session's Start Date.
• The session list includes active sessions that are still changing in real time as users interact with Procedureflow. As a result, values such as Last Activity and # of Events may change while you are viewing the report. Refreshing the report or reopening a session's event details may display updated information as additional activity is recorded. 

Why it’s important

Session Activity allows you to view and quantify a timeline of events from a single session, helping you understand the sequence of interactions that occurred during that session.

Insights you can draw from this report

Administrators, managers, and reporters can use Session Activity to: 

• Review individual interactions that occurred through a specific entry point. 
• Understand the sequence of flows accessed during an interaction. 
• Analyze activity for a specific interaction within a selected date range.
