Getting Started with AI Chat

Note: AI are currently in Beta. Features and behavior may change as the Beta evolves.

AI Chat is visible to users who are members of at least one workflow Entry Point. In AI Chat, users only see the Entry Points they are members of.

AI Chat lets you interact with Procedureflow using natural language to help you find, understand, and follow your organization’s documented processes. You can use AI Chat to ask questions, find relevant processes, and navigate workflows step by step.

Choose how you want to use AI Chat

You can interact with AI Chat in different ways depending on what you need:

  1. Ask when you need an answer based on your organization’s documented processes.
  2. Search when you want to find and open a relevant process.
  3. Navigate when you want to follow a documented process step by step.

Example use cases

  1. Find the right process: Describe what you’re trying to do in plain language, and AI Chat can help you find a relevant process.
  2. Get answers about a process: Ask questions about your organization’s documented processes without having to search through flows manually.
  3. Follow guided decisions: Navigate a process step by step. AI Chat can ask questions and guide you through decision points based on the workflow.
  4. Support process compliance: Follow the documented workflow while AI Chat captures session activity. Use Session Activity Insight to review AI Chat activity.
  5. Support onboarding: New users can ask questions, find processes, and follow workflows without needing to know where the relevant information is located beforehand.

What you can do with AI Chat

Ask a process question.

Ask a question in your own words. AI Chat responds using your organization’s documented processes and shows related flows as sources.

For example:

  • What information do I need to start this process?
  • When should I escalate this request?
  • What happens after verification?

Review the related flows to see where the information came from or open the full process for more detail.

Find a relevant process

Use Search to find the right process for a task or situation. Search by process name, topic, task, or scenario. AI Chat returns relevant flows that you have access to for you to review and open.

Start and navigate a process.

Open a workflow and follow your organization’s documented process step by step. Respond to the prompts and decisions shown in AI Chat.

The path may change based on your responses and the decision points defined in the workflow. Continue until you reach the documented outcome or next action.


Ask questions during navigation.

Ask a question at any point while navigating a process. AI Chat responds using your organization’s documented process content and shows related flows as sources.

After reviewing the response, continue the process from where you left off.


Review a conversation summary.

At the end of the process, AI Chat provides a summary of the conversation, including the questions asked, process steps followed, and outcome reached.

Tips for best results

  1. Ask questions about the process or task in natural language.
  2. Provide additional context when AI Chat asks a follow-up question.
  3. Review the related workflows and sources provided by AI Chat when available.
