Creating a Workflow Entry Point
A Workflow entry point is a collection of related flows that are automatically validated against Procedureflow's workflow validation rules. These validation rules help ensure flows are compatible with the Agentic API and can be reliably interpreted by AI agents. For more information about Workflow validation, compatibility requirements, and workflow rules, see Working with Workflows.
Like other entry points, Workflow entry points help organize content by team, function, or area of responsibility, ensuring users can easily access the flows relevant to their role. Users can belong to multiple entry points when they work across teams or responsibilities.
Create a new entry point as a Workflow
- Click Administration, then click Entry Points.
- Click New Entry Point.
- Enter a Name for the new entry point.
- If your organization has the Workflows feature enabled, select the entry point type:
- Freeform: Allows full flexibility when creating and maintaining flows.
- Workflow: Applies validation to all flows within the entry point to help ensure they are Agentic API-ready and comply with Procedureflow's workflow rules.
- Choose the entry point type carefully. Once an entry point is created as a Workflow, it cannot be changed to Freeform.
- Only Org Admins can create entry points (of any type).
- Only organizations with the Workflows feature enabled can choose between Freeform and Workflow when creating an entry point. Otherwise, new entry points are created as Freeform.
5. Click Create Entry Point.
After an entry point is created, you can assign one or more Entry Point Admins. Entry Point Admins can manage membership by adding or removing users from the entry points they administer.
Once members are added, they can begin creating and maintaining flows within the entry point based on their assigned permissions.
