Mapping Screen Text

When helping user perform an action with on a user interface, bold the text. Eyeballs are drawn to bold text and users are guided to the right button, field, pulldown or tab immediately.

For example, here we would like the user to click the link "New entry point".

In traditional documentation, this could be written in any number of ways:

• Click on the 'New Entry point' link
• Above Name, click the new entry point text
• Follow the blue "new entry point" link located just below the <Administration / Entry Points> title
