Changing Flow Appearance with Custom Themes

The appearance of your flows — the background colour, shape colours, arrow width, drop shadow, and more — are controlled by a theme.

ProcedureFlow allows you to apply a theme to the whole organization, but individual users can also apply a theme that only applies to them. Applying a personal theme can also be useful for testing themes before applying them to the whole organization.

The custom flow themes resource page includes pre-built themes that you can download (check out the samples at the bottom of this page!). It also outlines the elements that can be customized to assist with creating your own custom theme.

Setting the Theme for the Organization

Only an Org Admin can change the theme that applies to the entire organization.

Before you begin, go to the custom flow themes resource page and download a theme file or create a new one.

To apply the new theme to the organization:

  1. On the Administration tab, click Settings.
  2. Click Appearance on the left, then select Custom theme.
  3. Click Import and retrieve your theme file.
  4. Click Save appearance.
  5. Refresh your browser tab.

Setting a Theme for Yourself

This will apply only to your use of ProcedureFlow. You can experiment with other themes or revert to the organization's theme at any time.

Before you begin, go to the custom flow themes resource page and download a theme file or create a new one.

To apply the new theme:

  1. Click your name in the top right-hand corner and choose Appearance.
  2. Select Custom theme.
  3. Click Import theme and retrieve your theme file.
  4. Click Save appearance.
  5. Refresh your browser tab.

To revert to the organization's theme, select Organization theme and click Save appearance.
