Adding Pop-Ups

This function can be performed by users with Contributor role or higher.

Pop-ups are used for short examples or general information — don't hide important information in a pop-up! You can add a pop-up to any shape on the editing canvas. The shape will have a pop-up icon in the top-right corner. Users can click on the shape to view the Pop-Up text.

Tip If you have a longer block of information, you can put it in a separate flow and use the pop-up to link to it.

To add a pop-up:

  1. Drag a new shape onto the editing canvas.
  2. Type in the text you want to show in the shape.
  3. In the Add Shape dialog box, select the Pop-Up tab.

  4. Type in the text you want to appear in the Pop-Up.

Note  Pop-ups can only hold text; you cannot attach an image within a pop-up!

  5. Click Add.

The shape will appear on the editing canvas with the Pop-Up icon in the top right-hand corner.
