Bullet Point Exceptions

One of the biggest mistakes in documenting procedures is using bullet point exceptions, like the one shown in the flow below:

All steps of the process should be noted within the flow itself, not put out to the side where they could be missed.  Below is the same flow reworked to include the exception points of the "Don't forget" box within the procedure itself.

By including all steps within the flow, the accuracy of the user increases. This means fewer mistakes and happier customers!
