Pretty It Up!

Below are some shape text conventions to employ inside of shapes to increase readability.

One Liners

Field names or phrases can be very long and cause the text to go to the next line. To make the text easier to read, field names or phrases should be kept to a single line if possible. For the action box, stretching the box out causes the field to only take one line.

Here is another example of a long Field name within a decision shape.   For this decision shape, adding two carriage returns (pressing enter) before and after the field name will keep "Long Field Name" together on one line.

Adding a Title

If a shape has a large body of text it may be come hard to read.   The readability of the text can be increased simply by adding a title.  This, along with a left alignment for the text and widening the box, makes it much easier to read.
